Senate Gives PPRA 7 Days to Verify Homa Bay County Procurement Records

The Senate Finance and Budget Committee has ordered the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) to verify Homa Bay County's procurement records within seven days, following a session with Governor Gladys Wanga. PPRA is to cross-check the documents submitted by the county against those uploaded on the Public Procurement Information Portal. This verification is a prerequisite before the Senate issues further directives on the matter. Homa Bay has also faced scrutiny over procurement irregularities, including an investigation into a 348.9 million Ksh tender for constructing the County Assembly office involving former officials.
