Banyo: the Mayo Taram bridge officially commissioned, seven months after its reception

On August 31, 2026, Minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi officially commissioned the Acrow metal bridge over the Mayo Taram in Banyo. This 51.67-meter-long bridge secures the crossing of National Road No. 6 on the Foumban–Tibati–Ngaoundéré axis. Although it was accessible since its provisional reception on January 23, 2026, the official ceremony took place seven months later. The construction cost amounts to 847,425,267 FCFA, funded by the public investment budget of the Ministry of Public Works.
