Poor Network: Reps Give MTN, Airtel, Glo and Mafab Seven Days

Nigeria’s House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating poor telecom service has given the chief executives of MTN, Airtel, Globacom, Mafab Communications and other operators seven days to appear. They must attend a hearing in Abuja at 2 p.m. on October 28, 2026, and submit relevant documents explaining the service deterioration and their failure to attend earlier invitations. Committee chairman Olumide Osoba said reliable networks are vital to businesses and financial services, including Point of Sale transactions. Lawmakers warned that executives who fail to appear could face arrest summonses.
