Boxing: 13 delegations already in Kinshasa for the African Nations Championship

The first 13 of 38 expected delegations arrived in Kinshasa on October 19, 2026, for the African Boxing Nations Championship, which runs through November 1. The men’s and women’s competition is expected to bring together more than 400 boxers at the twin gymnasium of the Martyrs Stadium. The first two days are devoted to theoretical and practical training and tests for candidates seeking to become referees, while more delegations are expected on October 20. In 2024, the DRC finished second behind Morocco with 21 medals, including nine gold.
