The Federal Government, through the South East Development Commission (SEDC), has launched a 400-kilometre gas pipeline project valued at $100 million. The network is intended to connect gas resources to industrial and commercial centres across Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi states; about 150 potential customers have been identified, with projected demand of 254 million standard cubic feet per day. The investment agreement was signed on Tuesday in Enugu, and President Bola Tinubu, represented by Benjamin Kalu, described the project as a driver of industry, jobs and regional economic integration.
