2027: ADC-PCC accuses Tinubu government of plot to weaken opposition

The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of intimidating and suppressing opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections. He contrasted opposition demonstrations in Kinshasa during his presidency with deadly violence under Kabila and called allegations connected to the death of Manasse Lomboto, an associate of Prince Epenge, a setup. Tshisekedi said Epenge was arrested to clarify the facts, arguing that opposition status does not exempt anyone from accountability. Epenge is president of ADD Congo, a C64 official, and spokesperson for Lamuka.
