Prime Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Mohamed Lô addressed the press on Sunday, October 25, amid political tensions over the 2026 amending finance bill. The National Assembly’s Finance and Budgetary Control Committee rejected the bill, renewing disagreements between the government and some lawmakers from its own majority. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Lô was expected to present the economic and financial analyses underpinning the proposal.
