Nairobi County plans to build a multi-storey parking facility in the central business district, with capacity for 5,700 vehicles daily. The project would upgrade Sunken Park, at the junction of Taifa Road and Harambee Avenue, to provide 3,800 structured parking slots, up from the current 240. The county aims to ease traffic gridlock and increase revenue from parking, its third-largest revenue stream.
