National Assembly: Ousmane Sonko receives the President of the Executive Committee of the UPA

The President of the National Assembly of Senegal, Ousmane Sonko, received the President of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union (UPA), Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge, on June 4, 2026, on the sidelines of the 85th session of the committee. Discussions focused on the missions and organization of the UPA, as well as proposals to strengthen its effectiveness and harmonize its actions with those of the African Union. Sonko advocated for a reform of the institution's functioning to increase its influence on continental policies.
