Tanzania to Host Regional Maritime University

Tanzania has won the bid to host the Maritime University of Eastern, Southern and Northern Africa (Muesna), approved by ministers from more than 20 countries meeting under the Maritime Organisation for Eastern, Southern and Northern Africa (Moesna). The university is intended to train seafarers, expand shipping capacity and reduce reliance on foreign maritime firms. Ministers also agreed on plans for a regional shipping network and a maritime cabotage framework.
