Tinubu Inherited Nigeria on the Brink of Collapse, Plateau Governor Says

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang said Bola Tinubu inherited a Nigerian economy on the brink of collapse in 2023 from Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Speaking at the inauguration of the APC Campaign Council in Jos, he defended Tinubu’s reforms, saying external reserves now exceed $50 billion and the Central Bank has been stabilised. Mutfwang accused the previous administration of printing more than N30 trillion and described its fuel subsidy system as fraudulent. He said fuel is now available despite higher prices and urged Plateau residents to support Tinubu in the 2027 election.
