Video allegedly shows 34 children in a 16-seater scholar transport vehicle

A video circulating on social media appears to show 34 children crammed into a 16-seater scholar transport minibus. The vehicle was allegedly stopped on Tuesday morning at the corner of Jakes Gerwel Drive and Voortrekker Road, but the City of Cape Town could not confirm the location, date or department involved. Traffic Services spokesperson Kevin Jacobs said officers issue fines and may impound vehicles, including when a driver lacks a valid operating licence. The City cited ongoing overloading and non-compliance in scholar transport and urged parents to check their transport providers carefully.

To compare offers, sellers should ask whether the price is based on total weight or recoverable gold, since settings and fastenings may contain other materials.
