Nigerian researcher Uche Arunsi has raised concerns about environmental safety, stating that a widely used industrial chemical, perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), is responsible for hormone-sensitive cancers. Arunsi also highlighted that PFOS exposure could accelerate reproductive aging in women and contribute to prostate cancer progression in men.
