Spain: WHO Director-General Awaits Ship Affected by Hantavirus

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus visited Granadilla port in Tenerife, Spain, to oversee the evacuation of a cruise ship affected by hantavirus, which has over 140 people on board. He was accompanied by Spanish Health Minister Mónica García and Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska. Authorities stated that passengers and crew will not disembark until evacuation flights are ready, with no contact with the local population.
