Suspected alcohol poisoning: Ondo activates multi-agency investigation team as death toll rises

The World Health Organisation, NAFDAC, and NDLEA are involved in the investigation of illness and sudden deaths in Odigbo Local Government Area, Ondo State. The death toll from the suspected toxic alcohol outbreak has reached 29 out of 60 suspected cases, with a fatality rate of 48.3%. The Ondo State Government has activated a coordinated emergency response, including rapid response teams and epidemiological investigations.
