DR Congo’s worst Ebola epidemic ever passes 7,000 cases

More than 7,000 Ebola cases have been recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the worst outbreak of the disease, according to Congolese authorities. The outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, began in Ituri province and has spread to other regions. Currently, 837 people are in isolation or receiving treatment, and 3,398 deaths have been reported.
