Two suspected family members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have surrendered to troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Bama Local Government Area, Borno State. The woman, identified as Mrs. Fatimata Modu, 29, arrived with her two-year-old son, Muhammed Modu, from Yaganari Village. They voluntarily surrendered and were taken into custody for profiling and documentation. The surrender adds to the growing number of insurgents and their family members laying down arms amid sustained military operations in the North-East.
