Iran: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to be buried in July, state TV reports

Iran's former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed by Israeli and US airstrikes on February 28, will be buried on July 9 in his hometown of Mashhad. National funeral ceremonies will begin in Tehran on July 4, followed by another in Qom on July 7. The July 4 date coincides with the 250th anniversary of US independence. His son Mojtaba succeeded him as Supreme Leader in early March.
