Account for subsidy savings, APM tells Tinubu

The Allied People's Movement (APM) has urged President Bola Tinubu's administration to publicly account for the trillions of naira saved from the removal of the fuel subsidy since May 2023, which it estimates at over N20 trillion. The party stated that after more than three years, many Nigerians have not seen the promised benefits, instead facing soaring living costs and deepening poverty. The APM called for a comprehensive, independently verifiable report detailing funded projects, locations, beneficiaries, and outcomes, accusing the government of corruption and conflicting claims.
