‘It was a prayer walk’: Pastor Adeboye denies carrying placard against Jonathan

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, head of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), said during the church’s November Thanksgiving service that a placard he carried in 2020 was part of a prayer walk, not a protest against Goodluck Jonathan. He noted that Jonathan left office in 2015 and said the walk followed instructions for churches to pray near their premises. Adeboye accused a journalist of distorting the facts and criticised the failure to verify the circumstances before publication.
