Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel told Israel that it should no longer expect unconditional US aid. In a speech at Tel Aviv University, he criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and called for a fundamental reassessment of the US-Israeli alliance. Emanuel, who is expected to launch a 2028 presidential bid, noted that Democratic voters have become increasingly critical of Israel, especially after its genocidal war in Gaza that has killed at least 73,000 Palestinians since 2023.
