The Bayelsa State Government has declared Friday, April 10, 2026, a work-free day and ordered the closure of markets across the state ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s scheduled visit. State Commissioner for Information, Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, stated that the directive allows workers and residents to participate in activities planned for the President's one-day official visit, during which he is expected to inaugurate four major projects executed by the state government.
