On June 11, 2026, a team from Inserm, Sorbonne University, and Université Paris Cité published a study in Translational Medicine on 69 patients with intestinal lesions. The researchers found that some patients have stronger immune activity around colon polyps, enhancing the body's ability to detect and contain potentially cancerous cells. Colorectal cancer caused about 900,000 deaths in 2022, with 1.9 million new cases worldwide.
