Diamniadio: A tanker truck catches fire and heavily disrupts traffic on the toll highway

A tanker truck carrying fuel caught fire on Thursday, June 11, 2026, around 7:55 AM in Diamniadio, on the toll highway operated by Autoroute de l'Avenir. The fire caused significant slowdowns and a partial traffic interruption. Authorities set up diversions: for Toglou–Dakar direction, exit 12 at Sébikotane, and for Dakar–Toglou direction, exit 11 at Diamniadio. Emergency teams are on site to control the blaze and secure the area.
