FCTA confirms 8 rabies cases, 2 deaths, issues alert

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) confirmed eight rabies cases and two deaths in Abuja. Veterinary Services Director Dr Karnak Dandam reported cases in Gwagwalada and Kwali Area Councils. Samples tested positive at the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) in Vom. The FCTA urges residents to vaccinate pets and report bites.

Kikwit Military General Hospital receives three containers of medical equipment

The Kikwit Regional Military General Hospital (Kwilu) received three containers of state-of-the-art medical equipment on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. This government donation, representing more than 85% of the equipment ordered by the Ministry of Defense, aims to strengthen the hospital's technical platform.
