DSS intercepts arms shipment bound for bandit kingpin

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested a suspected arms courier in Kano State, who was transporting weapons intended for a notorious bandit leader operating in Zamfara. The suspect was apprehended on Friday in Gezawa Local Government Area based on actionable intelligence. Recovered items include three AK-47 rifles, four rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) tubes and warheads, and two empty magazines. The suspect confessed he was contracted to transport the weapons from Maigatari in Jigawa to Funtua in Katsina for a payment of N450,000.
