Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has set June 16, 2026, to rule on whether to recuse himself from the case challenging the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) under David Mark. Several parties, including Senator David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, have requested the judge's withdrawal over alleged bias. Former ADC Deputy Chairman Nafiu Bala Gombe is challenging Mark's position, and the case returned in April 2026 after a Supreme Court order for accelerated hearing.
