Ebola in DRC: A confirmed case in Goma

A case of Ebola virus infection has been confirmed in Goma, eastern DRC, an area controlled by the M23 armed group. Jean-Jacques Muyembe, director of the National Institute of Biomedical Research, explained that the infection came from a woman who was infected by her husband, who died in Bunia. The outbreak began on April 24 in Bunia, where a nurse developed symptoms before dying on April 27.
